The news comes after 150 homeworkers joined the company in the last three months, bringing the total number of global counsellors to 1,600.
Chief executive Steve Byrne said the recent influx of workers meant the company was well on its way to hitting its target of recruiting 400 new Travel Counsellors by the end of the year.
In particular, he added many of the new recruits have a tour operating background as the company increasingly sells more tailor-made holidays.
The UK’s 1,000th Travel Counsellor Juliet Twena joined the company following a decade of working for tailor-made specialists and operators.
Byrne said: “It’s really positive that we are experiencing such a strong increase in interest from those looking to run their own business using our technology as it reflects the strength and future proof nature of our unique business model and support.
“We are passionate about empowering the best people to enjoy the flexibility and rewards of running their own business and empowering them to sell the right product for their customers.
“The continued growth in the business benefits each and every Travel Counsellor as we continually increase the investment in our technology and support, and we expect the business to scale significantly in the coming years as more people seek the flexibility and customer focus we provide.”
He added the international business continues to expand its Travel Counsellor numbers globally, with international offices in Ireland, Belgium, Australia, South Africa, the UAE and the Netherlands and more than 600 franchisees now operating outside of the UK.
The business has enjoyed a period of rapid growth, with total transactional value rising 8% per cent to £447 million in its latest financial results, a record-breaking January and global sales for the first three months up 16% compared to the same period last year.
