Cook’s Club has reopened its Alanya hotel after almost doubling it in size through the acquisition of a neighbouring property.
The newly-refurbished resort has grown to 236 rooms, including doubles, suites and penthouse apartments, gained two new outdoor pools and had its beachfront area extended.
This now has more than 300 sunloungers and offers direct access to Kleopatra Beach where guests can try a wide range of water sports or take a boat trip.
In addition, the hotel has gained new communal areas, a mini market and a fitness studio to complement its existing gym and spa facilities, which includes traditional Turkish hammam.
"This exciting new development is testament to our commitment to providing indulgent holidays for fun-loving travellers at reasonable prices, and expanding our presence in key tourist coastal havens like Alanya in Turkey," said Cook’s Club managing director Alessandro Dassi.
The agent-friendly lifestyle hotel brand was launched by Thomas Cook shortly before it collapsed, along with its sister Casa Cook brand, and was acquired by Cook’s single-largest investor, China’s Fosun.
It is now operated by FTC Hotels and is owned by the real estate division of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Its portfolio has grown to 11 hotels in sun and beach destinations such as Rhodes, Palma, Crete, Corfu, Sunny Beach and El Gouna.
Cook’s Club Alanya was the brand’s first hotel in Turkey; it also now offers Cook’s Club Adakoy, around 25 minutes from Marmaris. Doubles lead in from £85 on a B&B basis.
